This is a great post because I watched the replay many times and I thought that the ball hit the catcher's foot. Now I know that it hit the LSU batter Chris Reid's foot. Awesome. Now I know how it happened.

The catcher kicked the ball into his foot. But even if the ball wouldn't have hit his foot, result would have been the same.
