Henry, a product of Florence, Ala., defeated Florida on Friday night in Baton Rouge with a superb effort, limiting the Gators to one run on four hits in 5.1 innings with no walks and a career-high 12 strikeouts. His strikeouts total was the most by an LSU pitcher in an SEC game since March 28, 2015, when Alex Lange recorded 13 Ks against Kentucky.

Henry’s 12 Ks on Friday night also represented the most by an LSU freshman since the aforementioned Lange outing versus Kentucky in 2015.

Henry’s victory over Florida marked his fourth SEC win this season, and he has recorded a team-high 60 strikeouts in 49.2 innings while limiting opponents to a .228 batting average.
