Per LSUSports.net: BATON ROUGE—The No. 1 LSU baseball team scored 17 hits on 20 runs to roll past Air Force, 17-5, Sunday evening in Alex Box Stadium, Skip Bertman Field.

Of those 17 hits, nine were doubles, which was one double shy of the school record.

There were 35,463 fans in attendance for the weekend, which set the attendance record for a season opener at Alex Box Stadium, Skip Bertman Field.
