Per LSUSports.net: BATON ROUGE, La. – No. 6 LSU (13-4) blanked Louisiana College (13-5) by a score of 13-0 on Tuesday night at Alex Box Stadium, Skip Bertman Field.

Freshman right-handed pitcher Zack Hess (2-0) earned the win for the Tigers, allowing no runs and only one hit, striking out seven in six innings worked.

GREAT game by Hess. Fearless in the zone, efficient with 75P over 6IP. THAT is what we need to see. Also great work by FR relievers. Hope Peterson can go out there tonight and give the team 3IP or more, and get his confidence going gain.

Looked good in all facets. I have been impressed with Walker and Hess so far this season. One more tune up, then bring on the Dawgs!
