Per LSUSports.net: HOOVER, Ala. – Capped off by a two-run double in pitcher Todd Peterson’s first career at-bat, LSU struck for three runs in the top of the 12th to beat South Carolina, 6-4, on Thursday evening in the SEC Tournament.

Peterson (1-3) earned the win after tossing the final five innings of relief, as LSU improved to 34-24 on the season. South Carolina was eliminated from the SEC Tournament and dropped to 33-24.

That was awesome. We all heard the snickers from the announcers when CPM let Peterson bat, and I was mumbling the same disdain under my breath
