LSU Baseball pitching coach Jason Kelly is expected to be named the new head coach at Washington, according to Kendall Rogers at D1Baseball.

Kelly was hired by Jay Johnson last offseason after spending two years at Arizona State. He was Washington’s pitching coach for seven seasons before that from 2013-2019 and was the 2018 National Assistant Coach of the Year in college baseball.

Oh shite, was that the big ole baw you’d see out there with the tiny batting helmet wedged onto his skull?

An easy path to getting a HC gig is the way you get top notch assistant coaches.

There are some serious freaking idiots posting here about pitching this past year. 4th in the SEC with a staff made up of relievers.
Losing coaches to HC jobs is a sign of SUCCESS you morons and chicken littles.

Our pitching wasn’t good this year. It was probably decided not to keep him. CJJ probably said “bye Felicia.”

Get serious. Our bullpen had significantly more innings than our starters and he turned Hilliard into a legit starter with a 4 pitch mix. On top of elevating the entire staffs talent. That guy got the most out of what we had and not many pitching coaches could have done what he did. No need to bash him. Now go get the Southern Miss pitching coach

You’re retarded… he had zero starters Due to manairis lack of recruiting and still finished 4th in the SEC…

That LSU finished 4th in the SEC and HE TOOK A HC JOB. Jesus. People on here are dumb.

Damn, these are a couple huge losses. The numbers for the pitchers were incredible relative to the talent. Johnson and kelly did a great job managing them
