Incoming LSU infielder O'Neal Lochridge from Lafayette, LA (St Thomas More) was named Marucci Sports Player of the Year on Wednesday. Per NOLA.com:

As a senior at St. Thomas More, Lochridge was one of the state's best all-around players. He led the Cougars, who won their second consecutive Class 4A state crown with a .454 batting average, 19 doubles, 12 home runs, 21 stolen bases and 53 RBIs.
The award recognizes the state's top player who also exemplifies excellence, leadership and sportsmanship.
