In an attempt to ignite the bats, LSU's Alex Bregman will bat leadoff against Cal State Fullerton in Tuesday's elimination game, according to Randy Rosetta.

LSU and Cal State Fullerton play at 2pm CT on ESPN2.

Worked out pretty damn good and I think he bats first or second in the majors when it's all said and done he's just hard to get out and has the quickness and smarts once on the bases !! This was a skip type move that paid off and may turn the season and offense around!! I loved the strategy of pinch hitting Zardon against the lefty today also. Maybe Paul's situational moves are now in tuned??? Let's Go Tigers!!! Here we come TCU!!!

A case could be made for him to have led off the entire season. Would prolly have been 25 to 40 more at bats. You would sacrifice his slugging by doing that but his on base is very good.
