Per LSUSports.net: BATON ROUGE – Air Force (1-1) scored three runs in the top of the ninth inning on a pair of bases-loaded walks and a sac fly to defeat seventh-ranked LSU (1-1), 6-4 Sunday afternoon at Alex Box Stadium, Skip Bertman Field.

LSU will return for the final game of its opening weekend at 5 p.m. CT Monday against Louisiana Tech. The game will be streamed live on SEC Network+ through WatchESPN.com and the app.

Walks and Errors are baseball "Game Killers". Can't not have them. By doing so you are giving your opponent extra at bats and free base runners.

I was a little puzzled why LSU was picked 4th in the SECW. It's a rare thing for them to be picked so low in their own division. After watching the first couple of games, I'm still puzzled as to the logic that was used to place them so high. If not for the 53 walks issued by AF pitching in the first game they likely would have lost that one too.
