Investigators Have Determined The Cause Of Tiger Woods’ Car Crash
© Harrison Hill-USA TODAY
Investigators have determined the cause of the Tiger Woods car crash last month, but they're not releasing the results, citing "privacy issues."....

L.A. County Sheriff Alex Villanueva confirmed Wednesday the investigation into Woods stemming from the Feb. 23 crash has wrapped up -- but when pressed on the findings, he told the media he won't go public with the findings until he gets permission from Tiger's camp.

"A cause has been determined, the investigation has concluded," Villanueva said.

"We have reached out to Tiger Woods and his personnel ... There's some privacy issues on releasing information on the investigation so we're going to ask them if they waive the privacy and then we will be able to do a full release on all the information regarding the accident."

I wonder if this "privacy" approach is something that is afforded to all citizens by this Sheriff's dept? I don't mind it, but can't be just for certain people.

"Privacy reasons" = embarrassing to Tiger. What if he had hit someone and killed them? Does he get privacy then?

No, he would not in that case. He hurt no one.

LA County is such a circus. The celebrities are the ringmasters and the police are the dancing bears.

That's not true. LAPD treats everyone like a King.

Classic celebrity treatment on display here. We’ll find out the cause eventually. But this is total BS.

It's medical. Probably given a script that impaired driving. If it's a legal script, no one can disclose without his permission because of hippa. This doesn't come up much because most of the time the celebrity volunteers the info immediately to excuse the behavior. But Tiger said nothing public nor released any info through his publicist, so the police cannot disclose or they face a lawsuit.

he crashed on a public road. Doesn't the public have the right to know the reason? Such as whether the curve itself is dangerous and needs modifications, or whether Tiger was impaired. No reason to keep this quiet.

No, you have no right to know what happened, and I'm grateful you don't, as you should be.

There is only one thing they can't release and that's RX drugs causing the wreck. That's a likely scenario at this point.

Hippa violation to disclose prescribed medication use. He’s an addict.
