Georgia's Kirby Smart Is Not A Fan Of The First Year Of The Transfer Portal
Brett Davis-USA TODAY Sports
During his interview with CBS Sports‘ Dennis Dodd, Georgia head coach Kirby Smart discussed why he's not a fan of the Transfer Portal...
quote:

“My biggest problem with the portal is that it gives kids an easy way out,” Smart said. “I know the devil’s advocate of players’ rights and they should be able to go wherever they want to go. But I’m telling you, no normal parent would say, ‘At the first sign of trouble, I want my son to run.'”

[…]

“A lot of small colleges are saying, ‘I’ll just go recruit the portal and stop signing kids.’ … We would never do that because we’re not bottom feeders. I’ve talked to some guys at that level — I’m not going to repeat their names. They’ll say, ‘We’re just going to save all our scholarships. Instead of signing a 25-man class, we’ll sign five of the best high school players we can and then go sign 20 out of the portal.'”
I'm sure he likes it when it benefits him.

Definitely made up. Talks a bit too much and that will catch up with him.

I love when people say coaches talk too much or that they are bad at it. Guess what? It's an obligation he is paid for. Get your panties out of your crack.

Some guys that go across the country to certain schools in the SE might realize after a little while that money isn't everything

reeeaaaaalllly..... "bottom feeders"? Sure some kids are jumping ship too early, but certainly most are "running at the first sign of trouble". Thats a totally ignorant comment to make. Between this, and some other statements he's made, he certainly does not seem like a very smart guy... low iq.
