West Virginia is looking for a little more depth to their QB chart. So much so that coach Dana Holgorson has emailed the student body looking for players. Here's the email the coach sent...

The West Virginia University football program will host a workout for students interested in joining the Mountaineer football team as a walk-on. The workout will be held on August 22, 2011 at Milan Puskar Stadium.

Registration will take place from 6:15 p.m. to 6:45 p.m. and the workout will begin promptly at 7:00 p.m.

Participants must be a full-time student of West Virginia University and present the following documentation on August 22:

1. Proof of Insurance
2. Completed Physical
3. Proof of Registration as a WVU Student (e.g., printout of class schedule or letter from the registrar)
4. Completed Compliance Form (link for form: https://www.msnsportsnet.com/page.cfm?sport=football&show=18925)

Students must attend the workout in athletic gear in order to participate.

A fresh walk-on QB (if inserted) against LSU will be a cause for the mercy rule.

This is something that is done at WVU on a regular basis allowing walk-ons the chance to come be a part of the football team. Of course having some more QBs at practice won't hurt either.
