WNBA's Minnesota Lynx rookie and former UConn superstar Maya Moore is the first female basketball player to sign with the Jordan brand. Maya joins other Jordan representatives Carmelo Anthony, Chris Paul, and Dwyane Wade.
quote:

"Joining team Jordan is an accomplishment on another level," mentioned Moore. "It's almost like when you're choosing to go to college, you want to surround yourself with the best. That's why I went to UConn, and I want to do the same thing now that I'm a pro. I had the opportunity to be a part of Team Jordan and I jumped at that opportunity."
She tore it up in college, hopefully she can make the WNBA more exciting than it currently is.

Yea but if I've seen any female player worthy of the honor, it's her.

Even though she's never played a single professional game?

Plenty of people have signed deals before their first pro game, especially bball players, it was only of matter of time until one of the girls did it.
