The Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue is introducing a new first to their popular tradition. 38-year-old fitness trainer Katrina Scott will be the first visibly pregnant woman to ever grace the pages of the special magazine...

quote:

From Rookie of the Year in 2021 to the FIRST EVER visibly pregnant woman in the SI Swimsuit Issue, @katrinascott continues to show up and make waves! To celebrate this MAJOR moment and all of the amazing and strong moms out there this Mother's Day week, Katrina is sharing a message with all of you:

"Sports Illustrated Swimsuit has a storied history of firsts… of breaking boundaries, building and restoring confidence, and speaking directly to all women in an empowering and inclusive voice. Today is such a special moment that I’m honored to be a part of.

As women, we have been told, shown, and expected to hide (then “bounce back” from) our pregnant bodies, when, in fact, our beautiful bumps embody the miracle of what it means to be Selfless, Vulnerable, and Strong.

In this issue, I hope to represent all the women out there that are creating life, feeling all the feels, and embracing change as they look to the future, especially those having difficult fertility journeys. I am with you, and you are never alone.

Our bodies and minds are capable of extraordinary things, and as for me, I’m all about gracefully bouncing forward."

Katrina, you are an inspiration to us all and we wish you a very Happy Mother's Day this weekend!

what a joke. They need to return the days of just putting hotties in the Swimsuit Edition. They've gone Woke, and have been for awhile now. I haven't read an SI article, either in print or online, in years, and will continue to avoid putting even a penny in their pocket. Good riddance.

I remember when it was Elle McPherson, Stephanie Seymour and Kathy Ireland. Now, we get pregnant persons, ci-neutral quasi bipocs and dudes playing a who girl who identify as a woman.

SMH. Nothing against pregnant women, but this crap is getting stupid. If I wanted to see pregnant women in bikinis I’d buy a maternity catalog. Thanks but no thanks

If I want to see birthing persons, 6 months along with their gender yet to be determined by a teacher offspring, I’ll go Target.

Doesn't SI know it is called a "birthing person". That's what I'm told at least....we should call women "birthing person". What a dumb@ss world this is becoming.

it's as if Sports Illustrated doesn't have a clue who their target audience is.

same applies to Disney, and many other companies that want to virtue signal their leftist bona fides. These lefty Wokes just can't help themselves. Fine -- I'll continue to make my purchasing decisions accordingly.

The brand is dead and they know it. This is just them virtue signaling.
