Last week I posted a video of me 'solving' 3 Rubik's cubes whilst juggling. To answer the biggest question about the video: The skill on display here is expertise in seamless digital effects work -- not physical solving of the Rubik's cubes.

I have held a passion for juggling, since picking it up at 12 years old, and a fascination with the Rubik’s Cube since my brother taught me how to solve one, although my record time for just 1 using both hands is actually about 10 minutes! So not everything is as it appears in the video.

My fellow VFX Artists Richard Russell, Lorenzo Newell, James Dooley and I all work out of Rushes, a visual effects facility in London. We made this video in our own time and in between jobs as an exercise in creativity and training. We feel it also provides a great example of the kind of ‘invisible’ visual effects work we do. We have been astounded by the video’s pick up across the internet, we never expected it and we hope people have enjoyed the illusion.
