It's going down at Soldier Field tomorrow night... :dude:

I am hoping they open with Magnificent, but I have read that the have opened with Breathe at some of the European concerts. Personally, the fast version of No Line On The Horizon would kick arse too. But they can't go wrong with Breathe.

Here is Magnificent:

Awesome.

Saw U2 here last night. A great show...part revival, part rock show, part UN meeting...played a workman like 2 hours...Muse opened and were energized and played a great show. I sense that U2 realizes their rock world mortality and play with a more controlled perspective...they've learned to give and take from the past to preserve the present...

I'd like to see them in Norman. Black Eyed Peas was supposed to open last I saw.

you really don't have to mention any age demographic , all you have to look at is that they are the same people that say U2 is shite are the same that says the STONES or THE BEATLES were overated.

Don't know why U2 is skipping New Orleans, especially considering the Edge is into the whole "Music Rising" program to help musicians effected by Katrina...
Can't make the Houston concert since it's mid-week...

They'll be back on leg 2 of n.a. Next year.....would think new Orleans would play into that.

Joshua Tree/Achtung Baby was their prime. ZOO TV was probably one of the best concerts I've been to.

This album was o.k., but not great. Breathe, No Line, Crazy, Stand Up are good. Rest are so-so.

Edge is more of a wizard with effects than he is a great guitarst.

"Your Blue Room" was soundchecked today in Chicago. From the Passengers era.

There are two kinds of people:
Those who know that U2 is the greatest rock band of all time.
and..
Those who are fricking idiots.

The claw looks small here. European stadiums must be smaller.

Gracias, el grande pollo. That was a great scene. i don't get the hate of the younger generation to the greatness that is U2. Best shows I have ever seen, and I have seen a lot.

The under 30 crowd just knows deep in their soul that they have no group which defines their generation. All they have is one big hip hop pile of shite. There is absolutely no current group out there that can or will touch the talent and longevity of U2. Maybe this Lady Gaga will be that performer for this generation. :rotflmao:

They've opened with Breathe at every show on the European leg according to the set lists.

I like the embedded video BTW.
