Florida Athletic Director Scott Stricklin announced Thursday that Saturday's home opener vs. Northern Colorado has been canceled due to Hurricane Irma.

No makeup date is scheduled. Per FloridaGators.com:

"We have been in constant communication this week with University and government officials," said Florida Athletics Director Scott Stricklin. "As the Hurricane's track has approached the state of Florida, it's become obvious that playing a football game is not the right thing to do. The focus of our state and region needs to be on evacuations and relief efforts. There is a tremendous amount of stress currently on the roads of this state, and the availability of gas, water and other supplies are at critical levels. Playing a college football game Saturday would only add to that stress.

How has no one told that butter-bean toothed, droopey-eyed frick about teeth brightening treatments? He's a middle aged man who is constantly getting his picture taken. Close your lips or go to a fricking dentist.

Makes sense. Last year also made sense...if you were the Florida AD and had the SEC in your pocket. Aleva got his shite pushed in AND we lost. Now to go to the Swamp back to back seasons.

I get it the hurricane and God bless the people of Fla. but this fricking school doesn't even try to play the game at another venue. Mind boggling to say the least. I can't stand Fla. HC butter bean tooth! I hope after one of our many TD's coach O goes for 2 because he can't go for 3.
