John Reed-USA TODAY Sports
When addressing reporters on Monday, Auburn head coach Hugh Freeze said he's "gutted" by Auburn's start and is aiming to "restore the glory" of a once prestigious program. He later pointed to the school's less-than-stellar situation before hiring him to replace Bryan Harsin last year...

"I think you all are aware of what we inherited," Freeze said, via AL.com's Michael Casagrande. "Our AD has done a marvelous job of explaining that. He did to me before I took the job, with the previous recruiting classes not being what you need to compete at a high level. And 57 transfers out in the previous three years before my arrival."
