Saban Wasn't Happy With Question About Bama’s Mekhi Brown Sideline Incident
© Butch Dill-USA TODAY Sports
All it takes is one wrong question from a reporter to make happy Nick Saban go to normal Nick Saban. On Tuesday, that question was about Alabama LB Mekhi Brown's sideline incident that involved him going after an assistant coach...

It's a legitimate question. Kid should have been kicked out the game, and certainly sent to the locker room after he did that. Yet he goes back in the game

I agree with all of that. I was shocked he was even on the sideline, let alone let back into play.

This prick is the biggest phony in the business. Sure, he's a great coach. However, spare me the tough on discipline BS. He has never punished a player that can help little nicky win. He's all talk. The press is scared to call him out on it.

AINT GONNA PUNISH A KEY PLAYER AT AN IMPORTANT POINT DURING THE NC GAME! I mean, that would require actual principles.

You feared Bear. But Nick is the insecure teen with touretts. You just let him blow steam for a minute or two then pat him on the butt when his episode is over.

dude was back on the field 5 minutes later close lining the UGA return guy. Only punish the players that are at the bottom of the depth chart.

"In a time where we have so many things to be happy about, it's kind of amazing to me that you'd pick out one small negative thing to ask about." This is literally what Saban does every time he talks. Points out what the team did poorly after they just got done drubbing another team.

Actually I've noticed a weird scale with Saban. When Bama blows a team out of the water, he's always preaching how much they still have to grow and harping on the negatives. But when the team falters and eeks out a close one, he praises them and talks them up.

"One small thing?" He punched a coach. What does it take to get disciplined? Bet if he punched the black dude that carries his Gatorade he would have gotten sent to the locker room.

He would have gotten pummeled by the rest of the football team. I promise you there will be action taken. The player won’t discuss it and the team won’t release disciplinary action to the media.

He punched a PLAYER, then punched a COACH, then apparently went back into the game. I had very little respect for the Gumps in the first place, but damn.

Went back into the game to commit a clothe line infraction (uncalled, of course)

Brown shouldn't even been on the sidelines at that point. He should have been ejected when he swung at the Georgia player. Of course Saban didn't discipline him for either incident.

nobody has accused bama of ever being classy.

Honestly, this is one of those times when the coach is out to fricking lunch. That outburst was absurd and he should have been tossed

Hurts got benched because he wasn’t performing. #48 goes on a personal foul spree but gets to stay in the game because he’s contributing.

All he cares about is winning...thats is all. How about the player that yell F... Trump prior to the game starting in the tunnel. Win at all cost is all he care about

He was yelling "frick Georgia". Even confirmed it after the game.

"Coach, when your team is winning big, why do you bring a little negativity on a player when there is so much be happy about?"

Wow, I'm sure that assistant is glad to know that Saban has his back.

Melt much? I don't blame you as your team has officially become the undisciplined "Thug Life" team of the NCAA

Official? For real? Are the players all getting Thug Life apparel? That'd be sweet for real. Rolling in UA Thug Life gear..... Oh wait, my bad, we aint Miami.

Saban's not doing Brown or his staff any fahimvors. If he cared about them, he would have sent Brown to the locker room. He's just using the kid, and doesn't care about what happens to him later in life. And it shows his staff that any player, if they are good enough, can treat them like dirt. What a guy.

Keep those dudes on the team with no punishment. Yes, this will be the demise of Bama football.
