Former Alabama offensive coordinator Lane Kiffin was formally introduced as Florida Atlantic head coach on Tuesday morning.

During his introductory press conference, Kiffin said that if wasn't at FAU he would be back in Tuscaloosa next year, which has many people believe is not true as his contract at Alabama was expiring after this season and was not expected to be renewed.

Lane does such a good job of making himself look stupid it's like a gift.

If that's the truth then why didn't he just tell Orgeron so Orgeron could move ahead with finding an OC. Doesn't make much sense for Kiffin to drag his good friend along instead of telling him wouldn't go to LSU if he didn't get a HC job.

It is a lie. He should have just let it go away. Now it is another thing he is lying about and everyone knows it.

Correct. Everyone I know that is in the know tells me that's B.S. I don't really buy that anyone at FAU will care either way though. They got a good deal and they know it.

You can always draft another contract but why would you want to if hes looking to be a head coach?

because you get another year of an elite OC who's taken 3 first-year starting QBs and led them to the playoffs each year.
