Here's The Betting Line For A Hypothetical Alabama Vs. Buffalo Bills Game
Kirby Lee-USA TODAY Sports
For years people have thrown out the hypothetical of who would win in a game between Alabama and the worst team in the NFL. Well on Thursday, OddsShark calculated a spread for an Alabama vs. Buffalo Bills game, if it were to happen...

We saw how well Saban did in the NFL.

The difference between an NFL team and a college team (no matter how talented or well-coached) are just dramatic. We're talking about a cherry picked, well developed, mature group of 23 to 36 year old grown men pushing around mostly teenagers. The speed of the game gap would eat Bama's defense up and even a poorly executed game plan by a poor NFL team should yield a 2-TD win or better.

The year Oklahoma won their last title (think it was 1999-2000ish) I had a supervisor at my job (huge OU fan, ftr) actually tell me that that Josh Heupel-led team would destroy the Cincinnati Bengals (back then, if you recall, Cincy was atrocious). I literally laughed so hard I almost pissed myself. The talent gap between the top tier College teams and the bottom of the NFL is even bigger than the talent gap between top 6A high school teams and Alabama. It's absolutely no contest. Cincy would have put Oklahoma in the grave, and the Bills would skull frick Alabama. These arguments are absolutely redundant.

At 17 points, I would put everything I owned on the Bills.

Any NFL teams interior line would do to Bama what Bama did to LSU. This is stupid.

These discussions are about as stupid as they come, and really has no place on TD. How many people from any one college team would still be on an NFL roster after three years much less starting?? A hint, not many. So you want to put up 58 NFL players against a team that might end up with a handful of NFL players (not drafted, players)? The Bills would hose them by the end of the first quarter. They are the worst of the NFL, but light years ahead of any college team. This is a ridiculous discussion held by people that know absolutely nothing about football.

I would spot bama 75 points assuming the Bills would play hard for 4 quarters. The difference between the worst NFL team and the best college team is MASSIVE. Bama has 8 or so immature NFL players on their team. The Bills have 53 mature NFL players on their team despite being the worse team in the NFL. I wish we would have this game after the season end just to witness the slaughter.

"I would spot bama 75 points" - let's not get too carried away. The Bills QB is Nathan Peterman. "Bama has 8 or so immature NFL players on their team." You aren't paying attention if you think Bama only has 8 future NFL players on the team. The majority of the starting 22 will be drafted in the next 3 years and some of the backups will too. Based on the last few drafts it is not a stretch to say that there are probably 30-40 players total on the team that will eventually be drafted and probably 20 that that are contributing heavily right now. With that said that 28 point line seems about right. I'd definitely take the Bills plus 28.

And a slaughter is an understatement. Although bama's players are better paid ....

Bills in a rout.

It would be worse than Alabama vs LSU. I think the score could easily be 50-60 to zip at the half.

I mean, didn't people learn anything in Reggie Bush's rookie year when defensive linemen were running him out of bounds way before he could make his trademark dash for the end zone like he did a dozen times a year at USC?

Help, stupid people are everywhere. Brady struggled against buffaloes D. Buffalo beat the shut out of Minnesota. Gtfo no way those inbreds come even close . Anyone who thinks Alabama has a chance is dumb as F

Sigh. Another one misses the boat. So I'll re-phrase. Would you take Bama at +28.5? I'd consider it. That would give Buffalo a 32-3 win and Bama still wins. Do you get the concept? Some of y'all... whew... dense.

DD, If it’s 32-3, Bills cover.

They used to do an exhibition game between the NFL champions vs a team of college all stars and the college team won a surprising number of times. It’s not out of the realm of possibilities for college players to win. Keep in mind this was the best team in the nfl vs a team of college all stars. Now switch that to the worst team in the nfl vs a team of college all stars. LINK

Absolutely. In 76, I think, the invincible Steelers played the college all stars and had to score late to win. The college guys played the Steelers closer than their super bowl opponent Dallas did. Alabama could absolutely stay with the bills. Within 4 touchdowns anyway.

Yes it is out of the realm of possibilities. Your crazy if you honestly believe that Bama could even hang with any pro team. It would be a joke. Your comparing a all star team of SENIORS FROM ALL OVER THE COUNTRY, not Alabama's football team from one season. I doubt the NFL teams were going all out either, why would they risk injury on that type of shite? Once again, you have got to be nuts to even think Bama would even be competitive.

I would sell everything I own and put it on the Bills -28.5, much less Bills -17.

ImayGoLesMiles65 months
The bills would win by more than 17 points. LOL, this kind of shite is just crazy. Only a dilusional, redneck bama fan, who has never experienced football other than his favorite college team, would say such a thing.

Why can’t they make this happen? Like May weather v MAC GREGGOR, 2 different sports coming into 1

An NFL D-Line vs a college OL? Tua would have arms around him the moment he got the snap. He would end the game 0/0 with 5 fumbles and 15 sacks. They would have -100 rushing yards. Those who are saying Bama would score 3? A lucky kickoff return, maybe? Bills 55 Bama 0

Depends on who the refs are! SEC refs, then Alabama wins by 20!
user avatar

So dumb. Alabama wouldn’t score a point. The nfl team has players whose job it is to lift and play football. The college players do it in their spare time.

If Bama had a FG kicker I would say we could score 3 points, but NFL talent is next level which it would be a BAMA vs LSU type game.
