ESPN Analyst David Pollack Thinks ‘It’s Over’ For Alabama
© Brett Davis-USA TODAY Sports
During this week’s ‘CFB Podcast With Herbie, Pollack & Negandhi,’ ESPN analyst David Pollack said he thinks Alabama’s title hopes are over because of star WR Jaylen Waddle's season-ending injury...
quote:

“I think it’s over for Alabama,” Pollack said. “If you’re just talking about winning a national title, I don’t think they can win one without Jaylen Waddle.”

“Yes, Alabama has recruited at a high level, but you don’t have guys with 4.2 speed sitting around – well, Bama did last year with Ruggs and Waddle. When you look at their game plan and what they do, this team runs the football and uses play action. They stack DeVonta Smith and Jaylen Waddle together because you can’t jam them. So I think this is a huge blow.”
In five games this season, Waddle had 25 receptions for 557 yards and four touchdowns. Do you agree with Pollack?

Pollack's motor: On Off [Broke]

I don't think Pollack's motor ever quits running but it may be sputtering right now. He is taking lessons from Pawl knowing that if you rile up the Gump Nation with some random tidbit, then instant ratings boost.

He's mistaken....what he meant to say is that it is over for Georgia making the playoffs! As in "Can't Beat Alabama"!

Losing Waddle reminds me of when Alabama lost Eddie Jackson in 2016. It was a big loss, but it was able to be overcome until Deshaun Watson exploited it in the championship game. Same thing here: an elite defense will exploit the loss of Waddle, but Alabama can still win a championship.

It won't be over until Saban retires. Sorry David.

Bama looked great with Smith metchie and bolden. We are improving on defense, and playing actual teams. To say we can't win it without waddle is moronic.

Sark is really good at what he does. I think it’s so early to say if it’s over for us or not.

Pollack has something on an executive at ESPN or is on his knees because he absolutely sucks. I never take anything he says seriously.

We would be 4-0 with Chase and Marshall right now. Would we be overrated, sure, but we would be 4-0. Losing Waddle hurts, but Bama is still the favorite imho.

Because Chase and Marshall would be playing on defense??
