I called the insurance company first. They of course said that it was filed too late and I should contact the hospital billing dept. Hospital billing dept says they don't bill for anesthesia and forwarded me to an outside company. The billing company agreed that it looks like it was just recently...

I definitely planned to contact them, but getting it documented in an email sounds like a good idea.
I had a few different bills from them closer to the original date and everything was paid up in full. I just never thought about a separate bill for an anesthesiologist, but I try my best to stay...

That seems to be the terminology this insurance company always uses for "we paid our share and this is what is still owed to them". I guess they assume you may be able to work that number with the provider. My son was born on that date, so it makes sense, but I have no idea how this was just recentl...
