I'm not saying it is the primary factor, but it is underrated: Game time announced less than two weeks before the game. For me, I can go to a day game and get home at a reasonable hour. Honestly, I really don't need information and analysis from announcers. What I like is that Verne and I have been watching games together for a long time. He's like a good guy who has had the seats next to yours for many years and you look forward to talking with during the game....
