re: Chubb’s worst games tend to come when he isn’t used much - DawgHolliday
Oh, I know fib...that argument raged back then, and I just couldn't see it. Today, I do think that because JC doesn't believe in using the I-formation or even a traditional single back set more than 2-3 times a game, Sony is more effective because he just hits the hole and goes and uses his abil...

re: Chubb’s worst games tend to come when he isn’t used much - DawgHolliday
I think they are much closer to each other now in the post injury Chubb era, certainly. Sony has grown a lot as a back while Nick had had to work his arse off just trying to get back to where he was...may still not be there, and may never be. Pre-injury, a 100% Chubb was better than 150% Sony, an...

re: I'm tired of hearing how great Moo St. Is! - DawgHolliday
I imagine we will keep hearing it until UGA or someone else beats them. If it's UGA, I hope our fan base doesn't behave the same way the MSU contingent on the rant has been. We HAVE been there before. We SHOULD beat MSU most every time we play. This MSU team is better than normal, so it will be ...

re: It's so weird to see this much interaction between Mississippi State and Georgia - DawgHolliday
They still using aluminum bats in college? I'll start caring about college baseball when they start using wooden bats. 115 lb 5'4" second basemen don't hit 400ft homeruns in real baseball. ...

re: Auburn @ mizzou predictions - DawgHolliday
Auburn 65 Mizzou 3
I think you got the Mizzou part right...but you are seriously overestimating Auburns ability to score points, even against a defense as leaky as the zou has put on the field thus far this season. ...

re: Georgia vs Georgia Tech || Comparing the SEC schedule to the ACC schedule - DawgHolliday
The behavior being exhibited here by the Clemson contingent makes it easier to understand why "old money" folks have such disdain for the nouveau riche. ...

I could see that...he could probably start later this year or next year at Notre Dame...which I think is where Evander wanted him to go. ...

re: Have we ever been this deep at good TB's? - DawgHolliday
Lorenzo will find a way to get the ball to himself...doing a pretty good job so far this season. The other #7 definitely needs to be a bigger part of the offense. ...

re: Tailbacks... - DawgHolliday
I'm with you, Crow. I think everyone is just dying for Holyfield to be the real deal because he's Evanders son and a Georgia kid. Plus, a lot of people thought he was going to be a lot better than he has shown because of his HS tape. I'll give you the injuries last year, but he is still down the...

re: Georgia vs Georgia Tech || Comparing the SEC schedule to the ACC schedule - DawgHolliday
Couple of points: 1 - every UGA - Tech game was played in Atlanta prior to 1929 (UGA had no stadium). Not sure how much of a factor crowd noise was in those days, but still. No home games over the fist 30+ years of the rivalry may have counted for something. 2 - why not just cut to the chase ...

re: Have we ever been this deep at good TB's? - DawgHolliday
That's right, Larry Ware. And now you say Montgomery, that sounds more right in my head. Not sure where Texas or Arkansas came from. Did UGA have a highly recruited RB from one of those states at the later end of that timeframe? ...

re: Have we ever been this deep at good TB's? - DawgHolliday
That was a pretty damned stacked backfield...I had forgotten about Ware...that's how stacked that group was. Can't even remember his first name, but wasn't Ware out of Texas or Arkansas? Somewhere like that. ...

re: Fromm/ Eason - DawgHolliday
Thomaston...WG will tell you, neither of us would piss on the other if he was on fire, so you have to have tried to make an exceptionally obtuse observation to make me agree with him. Fromm has the Tebow effect without the Tebow physical gifts...he can NOT make all the throws that Eason can or h...

Thanks for the info Crow, Breezy, Americus. Just hadn't seen his name much until recently and wondered if that was a white flag commit or a legit recruiting effort....

re: 2018 UGA Recruiting Thread (commits, offers, visits, etc.) - DawgHolliday
Don't know much about this guy. Is he a plan B kid, signifying that we have given up on the SCAR legacy kid? I forget his name. Or have we been after this guy hard the whole time and just haven't been talking about him much? ...

re: What did the TE unit do to deserve this neglect? - DawgHolliday
I certainly am not answering for meansonny, but it is pretty clear that when he asks, "do we see practice?", he means do WE the fans see practice. Are the WR's and TE's hands not really consistently any better in practice than what we see on game day? The final point was that if the players are not ...

re: What did the TE unit do to deserve this neglect? - DawgHolliday
Maybe he is upset that the team seems to have embraced Fromm and his good buddy Eason looks to be unhappy every time the cameras find him. They are amazing athletes but they are also kids and human, so who knows? He may have a broken give-a-damn meter because he feels his buddy is being slighted...
