re: Name your top LSU baseball player not named Bregman, Walker, or McDonald - Buckeye Dad
Russell Springer. He along with Ben McDonald help build LSU into power house for Skip....

re: Paul Maineri, Micah Gibbs etc... - Buckeye Dad
How can you say it was to late to hire hitting coach. State had just hired ours to be head coach. Take a few weeks and go after a proven hitting coach. If we are the elite baseball team we think we are that should have helped in finding one or we are not as elite as we think?...

re: Coach Maineri is not the problem - Buckeye Dad
I am not a CPM fan and I do agree with this, however no matter the sport, the buck stops with head coach. Anyone who has not noticed the decline of the program over the last several years is not paying attention. Not sure what problem is, but any issues with a company or team stops with the head m...

re: Next LSU Men's Basketball Head Coach Candidate? - Buckeye Dad
I will admit I don't know much about basketball nor am I a big fan, but there is a coach in state that has taken a school that had no program 4 years ago and is now the #1 NAIA ranked team in the country. I do not know his name, but he coaches at LSUA and I believe coached at Southeastern and is fr...

re: Better Rookie? Fournette or Zeke?? - Buckeye Dad
Depends on team. Poor Barry Sanders was best NFL pure runner I've every seen, but what he did, he did by himself. No O line or passing game....

re: Kiper Mock Draft - Buckeye Dad
In most cases teams at the top of the draft do not have an O line worth a dang. Without an O line it doesn't matter how good a back you are, your screwed. Elliot is a very good if not great back, but he is running behind one helleva line. ...

re: Jesus Christ people give the dude a chance - Buckeye Dad
I will say I am not sold on O yet, but some of these idiots saying he has had his chance are wrong. He was given the interim HC title in the middle of a season. He had to lead a team with the previous HC hires, not his own. Kinda hard to get an OC in the middle of a season. Most are a little bus...

Herman worry - Buckeye Dad
I have heard on here and other outlets that his dream job is Texas. How bad would it be if he came here for a year or two and then left for Texas? Example : Kifin at Tennessee! This is major concern to me....

re: Are we really that talented on offense? - Buckeye Dad
When you have a QB that can not throw a 10 and out and never hit a WR in the numbers you have problems. We were lucky Lenard didn't get hurt on long pass. Ball was in the air long enough for DB to come from half the field away and cut him. The WR do not attack the ball and as for pass blocking, w...

re: LSU ULL baseball - Buckeye Dad
The reason they went to ULL is they were told by Paul he didn't have to give scholarship to Louisiana kids because they get Tops. Both went down I-10 and got Tops and ball scholarship. LSU does save those 11.7 for out of state players. And oh yeah, Paul did want them....

re: LSU ULL baseball - Buckeye Dad
It was Nick Lee and Hogan Harris. Big righty and lefty pitchers. Lee was weekend starter and Harris was mainly relief. Both are better than at least half of the pitchers on LSU staff. Ran out of scholarships, but they are both studs on mound....

re: LSU Baseball loses commitment from Pineville catcher Keelyn Johnson to LA Tech - Buckeye Dad
Nope, but I do know several scouts and recruiters that think pretty high of him as LSU undoubtedly did. Post seemed to be about how lack of scholarships caused this, not lack of talent. Didn't realize it was to talk crap about a kid that went somewhere else. My bad....

re: LSU Baseball loses commitment from Pineville catcher Keelyn Johnson to LA Tech - Buckeye Dad
The kid can play. My son played summer ball with him last 2 years. Has an arm, speed and can hit. As for as WM with 5-5 stealing on him, well if pitcher takes 4 seconds to deliver ball, not much of a chance....

re: Keelyn Johnson to La Tech - Buckeye Dad
Do not need profile. Saw the kid play, a lot. Had multiple offers. He played for Pineville High School, which is not a baseball power house. Played summer ball with Louisiana Legends last 2 summers. He lit it up at Perfect Game in Georgia last summer....

re: Keelyn Johnson to La Tech - Buckeye Dad
This kid can play. He is a power hitting catcher, who also hits for average. My son played with him last summer and he was going yard on college fields with wood bat as a 17 year old. Also has speed....

re: Story behind Cale breaux at msu - Buckeye Dad
And that is the reason Nick Lee and Hogan Harris went to ULL. They were the 2 best pitchers in the state last year and both ended up just down I-10. ...
