@TideWarrior [link=(http://www.usingenglish.com/reference/idioms/tall+drink+of+water.html)]http://www.usingenglish.com/reference/idioms/tall+drink+of+water.html[/link] "Tall drink of water" is a very common idiomatic expression, particularly in the South. I have heard it or said it myself lit...

re: Convince me that Bama won't come out playing flat Saturday - prevatt33
While I will always be wary of the emotional state of a Bama team at halftime with a big lead, This team morphed into a different beast solely for the single-minded purpose of making it to this game and the games beyond, and I therefore see no reason why we won't come out guns-a-blazin'. We got...

re: Drake's Injury Most Significant in Saban Era - prevatt33
DJ FLuker, 2010. We were different team with a shuffled Oline for half of the saeson, dropping 3 games. Got Fluker (and a few others) back for bowl, and looked like the best team in the country. No injury to Fluker that year equals another Natty IMO....

re: Could a two quarterback system be our best chance at success? - prevatt33
Did not read entire thread - only replying to OP. NO. frick no. Two QB systems are for teams that either A) have no quarterback, or B) have one QB with a very specific package, a la Tebow when Leak was starting. Neither of those scenarios apply to us. If you think scenario A does, then you a...

re: Blake Sims leads the nation in completion % vs FBS teams - prevatt33
Regarding the QB position and objectivity: Sims has demonstrated that he's capable of leading the offense, is a good leader, can both run and throw, virtually can't be sacked, and is very accurate (overall) with plenty of zip on his throws. He has also demonstrated that he needs to improve his p...
To be fair to AJ, he wasn't a senior if we compare both of their first starts.
To be fair, Sims spent his first 2 years at Safety and RB, in that order. He's a fifth year guy, but this is his 3rd at QB. But don't let the facts skew your Sims hatin'. Carry on. ...
