re: USA Today Lists 5 Best Stadiums

Posted by dgoren on 10/8/13 at 4:59 pm
I agree that Bryant Denny looks great. I put it at the top. Sanford Stadium is awesome, although the upper deck on the south side makes it a little off balance. I love bowl stadiums like Michigan and the Rose Bowl. Kyle Field is big but I hate the huge end zone section. I don't get that. South Carol...
I'm a huge UGA fan. Went there. My son goes there now, but until Richt can bring home a championship, this list means very little. UGA continues to be a very good team most years, but never a great team....
That's what I'm worried about....UGA having to play LSU again. That game simply came down to whoever had the ball last. I know that was LSU, but in 1:45 you have to be perfect and that was one of the only times the Tigers didn't get it done. Too much pressure in so short a time. I have mixed feeling...

You had me all the way up to playing TN in the SEC Championship. Didn't beat UGA but you guys might just win the rest of your games, including A&M and Bama. I would bet on it. As a UGA fan, I don't want us to face the Tigers twice in one season, but that could very well happen....

re: Georgia - LSU comparisons by unit

Not a bad analysis, but I still think you can throw it out the window for a game like this. UGA was going through the motions vs. North TX. We just don't know what UGA team will show up. The defense will give up points to the Tigers, but the offense is very hard to stop for very long. I can see a ba...

True, and they'll play better. They play those smaller division schools like crap. It'll be a close game....

re: Where's best place to park at UGA

If you don't care about being close to downtown, park off of Milledge Avenue. Go to google maps and find South Milledge and Baxter Street intersection. Then locate Rutherford or Cloverhurst. Drive down one of those streets a few blocks and park on the street for free. Nice walk on Milledge, past man...

I'm telling ya, LSU will not keep UGA under 30 pts. You might win the game....our defense is green. Everybody knows that but UGA has too many ways to score points on offense. I predict the game to be tight. <10 pts difference....

re: LSU@Georgia draws closer

LSU by 21+ points, in Athens, against the UGA offense? I hope you're joking. I'm not saying that LSU can't win, but it won't be by 21 pts. UGA WILL put plenty of points on the board. The question is whether or not the defense, which isn't that bad, can slow down LSU. I predict a close game....
LSU wins easily? Based on what? Even if UGA's defense is weak, and that could happen, their offense should be incredibly strong, so at best, for LSU, it will be close. It's also in Athens. LSU is tough, and so is UGA. I predict a close game and if anyone pulls away, it will be UGA....

re: Why the rest of the SEC hates you!

Wow, this was great, and so far, I only read the UGA part, because it's dead-on, and I am UGA grad! The UGA campus and downtown are awesome, but you're right, it doesn't win football games. What's worse is that we FLIRT with greatness on a regular basis, but we always screw it up in the end (or some...

There's always a chance, but very likely a total blowout....

Sure do. You're playing FL....
