My son caught it in Thailand this summer. No treatment, just a week of fever and lethargy. There's a point 4-5 days in where if can become hemorrhagic. That's when it gets serious.
Supposedly, the second time you get it is when people are at higher risk, and there are 4 strains. You only get...

re: Remember when you sat in a chair during an intense job interview? Very uncomfortable.

In the late 80's I interviewed for a consulting job with a major firm. Me (engineer) and two big school MBA's were put in a room and given a test. Using a dozen functions from a fictious programming language and we had to write code to do some simple tasks. And while they could tell you quarterly...

re: Southwest Airlines has cancelled 69% of its flights so far today.

SW canceled our leg back to Ohio for tomorrow already. Reroute had us MSY-ATL-(77 hour layover)-MCO-CMH. Found a Delta out of BTR the next day for only 25000 ff miles/person.
Glad the rental car was only $50 more to drop off at BTR, but SW really lost some goodwill on this. ...

Every time at the Walmart Self Checkout. I saw a woman, obviously in her 80's, get carded there. ...

Sure as heck not going to retire here, but it's not a bad place to live and not get shot. Oh, and Joe Burrow was from down the road....

This youtuber explains why the English language is such a mess. A lot of etymology on old languages that formed English, as well as how US English and UK are different.

re: More Men's Fashion.......Any of you own a Holzkern Watch?

Wife bought me one a few months ago. Nice watch, band was easy to adjust at home w/o pulling out my watch tools. It looks solid, keeps time and will likely last a while. Since I wear a Garmin Fenix every day. I'll likely never wear the Holzkern....

Quite a few cars still come with manual transmissions. I'm partial to the GTI.
Last year, I broke my wrist on vacation and no one in my traveling party could drive a stick. We had to recruit a friend to come up 75 miles to the airport to drive us home. ...

The first Business school in the US started almost 140 years ago. I'd need to do some research, but I'm guessing Commerce degrees preceded them a few years.
Clearly there's some fluff in most busines...
