Actually, learning to do some remedial stuff around the house while also saving a shite ton on labor costs is very helpful. Worst case scenario is you fail o do a good job and have to hire a handyman you already plan on hiring to do the work for you. There are few if any manual j...
Admiral Halsey "took the bait" and chased after a non-existent Jap task force leaving only a small contingent of destroyers and jeep carriers to defend the Philippines. Thank God Taffy 3 put up a good fight, or the landings in the Philippines could have been a disaster. True. but like i...
He was a great thundering paradox of a man, noble and ignoble, inspiring and outrageous, arrogant and shy, the best of men and the worst of men, the most protean, most ridiculous, and most sublime. re: Gen. Douglas MacArthur "dug out dug" - LR2RedStick
I will agree that MacArthur was caught with his pants down in the phillipines and should have been on high alert after Pearl Harbor. His actions thereafter and his pure military genius at Inchon and throughout Korea more than made up for it. He was an arrogant prick. He also used that arroganc...
Can we all agree the dugout Doug was a huge piece of shite. A coward and a traitor. I'm watching the pacific on history channel and was reminded of just how big a piece of shite dug out Doug was. Why in the hell do some people see him as a hero. Abandoning his men on Batan and all the Marines...

Yep I live there. love the neighborhood for the most part. Pretty quiet, normal neighbors. Easy to get pretty much anywhere in BR. Downtown is kind of a pain though. re: What's your favorite non-SEC school away trip? - LR2RedStick
Austin is a great city to visit on any weekend. That being said, the gameday and stadium atmosphere are pitiful. There is no such thing as tailgating and its the quietest 90k seat stadium you'll ever go to. They don't have a true student section and the stadium is an open horseshoe shape. The se...
Do they even make non-smart TVs anymore?
Yes and pairing it with an appletv/roku/fire tv for under $100 accomplishes everything you need out of a smart tv and can save money. Plus most smart tvs are clunky to use whereas the external devices are much more polished IMO...
