"A Fine Balance" by Rohinton Mistry is an excellent read. One of best books I have read in recent years. "World Without End" by Ken Follett continues the story of the cathedral, but 200 years later, so with all new people....

Stayed at Marriott Marquis. Very nice hotel, and I would recommend. Times Square is very convenient if you want to see a Broadway play or two. Marquis did offer government rates in the past, but unsure about currently....
