re: Any of you baws know anything about Tacoma AC's? - Hayden Fox
I did the same a couple of times - the resistor in the mid 2000 models must have been problematic. I believe I went through two resistors and one new blower motor....

re: PGT Beauregard monument is being removed tonight - Hayden Fox
Dauber and I were in town today recruiting. We are ambivalent towards the monuments as out of towners but please consider this anecdote: We sat in traffic for probably 20 minutes at a fairly major intersection within which an RTA bus had broken down. There were no city vehicles to be found in aid...

re: Married couples and joint/separate bank accounts - Hayden Fox
Christine and I have joint checking and joint savings. It works for us but I wouldn't presume to say it would work for everyone. We have comparable incomes and we talk on a daily basis about money and we've never had a problem. I think joint accounts can work when everyone communicates clearly. Sure...

re: Jump starting car - reversed cables - Hayden Fox
I always ground the black cable on the block of the car with the receiver battery. It's saved me from some "boo boo's" in the past....

re: Who is your favorite WWL radio host? - Hayden Fox
One of my favorite moments with Tom Fitzmorris occurred on a Saturday afternoon where Tom was discussing his favorite burgers in the south. Some gentleman called in to extol the virtues of "Steak and Shake" to which Tom cooly and in his somewhat snarky way replied "I don't think Steak and Shake is v...

re: Is this cast iron worth salvaging? - Hayden Fox
That pot is in decent shape and will clean up nicely if you do what others in this thread have recommended. A power drill and some wire brushes or a hand grinder and a few rounds of seasoning will preserve it for years to come. ...

re: The Curley Hallman Radio Show Broadcasts, remember when... - Hayden Fox
My fondest memories are the Golden Flake commercials between segments.
I recall the commercial from the early 90's where Curley was trying to give away a Southern Miss "swagger wagon". Edited to add: Maybe it was the late 1980's, those days blend together in memory....

re: Do you or someone you know have truck nuts? - Hayden Fox
These damn things have created a stink in my office and I'm not happy about it. Luther bought Dauber a set of brass truck nuts for Dauber's new aluminum F-150. The damn things weigh about ten pounds and look gold plated. Now I have these two "baws" not speaking to each other in the midst of godd...

re: Is Marriage a Good Thing? - Hayden Fox
I can tell you definitively that Christine and I had way more sex before we were married. Before we were married she was at the cabin (and I was at her apartment) religiously to knock boots. There's a lot less emphasis on that now. Of course, we are a bit older so that may be a factor as well. ...

re: Great deal on a coworker's truck for my son, but smells like a Marlboro - Hayden Fox
A good pro auto detailer can probably get it mostly out to where it's tolerable. I had a similar experience with a used truck a few years back. The guys i used got it close to smelling like new. I think it cost me about $175, which was worth every penny. I think there are even some detailers that sp...

re: Glad Lyn Rollins has found a home with the SECN - Hayden Fox
Thanks. Those were tough times when Christine was commuting to the city. Often times, the best I could hope for was a quick knocking of boots on Sunday before she got back to town between weekend reports....

'91 was a great year! Screaming Eagles baby! I can't recall if it was 91 or 92 where lsu beat us at home. Whatever year it was I remember it clearly and it got a mention on the documentary about our time at Minnesota State....

re: Lakeview (70124) ranked third in US among places people are looking to buy - Hayden Fox
