re: Is Mike Leach the most interesting coach in all sports? - Shiner Bock Aggie on 10/28/16 at 3:42 pm
putting on his tinfoil hat and becoming the next drunken uncle that rambles on about Alex Jones each holiday to his family.
None of us here have been to Thanksgiving with Mike, so....... Just sayin...Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (1)
re: Is Mike Leach the most interesting coach in all sports? - Shiner Bock Aggie on 10/28/16 at 2:33 pm
That year Tech went to the Cotton Bowl they were 6-6 and there was a 5 way tie for 1st in the SWC. A 10-0-1 A&M team was ineligible on probation. The conference was running on fumes at that point. The point is that Spike was a pretty good coach, but what he did really doesn't compare to what Le...Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (0)
re: The Football Network in Baton Rouge: anyone have any stories? - Shiner Bock Aggie on 6/1/16 at 7:58 am
I have a CSB about it. I ran into Glanville around 2 AM one night at the IHOP on College. He was dressed like Johnny Cash and seemed to be pretty well hammered. ...Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (0)

re: Mega stadiums - Shiner Bock Aggie on 8/20/14 at 1:45 pm
No use arguing. If someone has a preconceived idea about something, you typically are not going to change their mind, even with empirical evidence. One thing to note is that A&M did not consistently average 70K a game until the mid 90's, yet the stadium expanded by 13K seats in 1999 anyway. Th...Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (0)
re: Mega stadiums - Shiner Bock Aggie on 8/20/14 at 12:41 pm
Always surprised me why the Aggies decided to go so big on their renovations.
It's surprising to everyone else, but not to us. The enrollment of the school is at over 53K and projected to grow. The average enrollment of the school for the classes that are now dying off was in th...Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (1)

re: Headed back home from College Station - Shiner Bock Aggie on 3/4/14 at 1:51 pm
Back in the day, Continental used to give Elite members some sort of milage multiplier for making multiple stops. My old man and his friends in sales used to fly from Houston to CS to Dallas and then to wherever they were actually headed to get double multipliers on their mileage. I think the...

re: Aggie - Kyle Field construction cams - Shiner Bock Aggie on 3/4/14 at 1:37 pm
Is "the Zone" changing at all?
My understanding is that it he facade will be redone to match the rest of the stadium with red brick and the concourses will tie in at the corner ramp towers. I don't know what the plan is for the existing ramps at the zone....Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (1)
