We use quickbooks where I am at. It is very simple and you can also use it to write checks for everything, not just payroll. It also has many other features on it that is useful for a business to operate....

Yeah I would try somewhere else besides the state. There pay is low and pretty much anywhere has the benfits they have now. They were hiring as of July 7 because that is when I left, but the starting salary is only 38,000. They do however help pay for the CPA exam....

I know LSU get audited by both. I worked for the Louisiana LEgislative Auditors and we audited them. We worked closely with their internal auditors....
