The greens were messed up in December, but are coming back and they laid new sod on some of the bad spots. 2-3 greens are still rough. Everything else is in pretty good shape. re: People who don't pay their HOA dues - lapistola on 5/17/17 at 11:26 am
Most neighborhoods don't need them and those are the neighborhoods that the HOA board is generally a bunch of people that get a power trip and put their noses in stupid shite. Bigger neighborhoods like those that people have mentioned that have lots of amenities like pools, tennis courts, walkin...Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (0)
re: Are there any 24/7 pet hospitals in BR? - lapistola on 5/3/17 at 7:19 am
The one off Airline is Baton Rouge Pet Emergency Hospital. It's open 24/7. It gets the job done but I'd definitely recommend Sherwood and LSU over that one. I took my dog there for an after hours non-emergency (that my wife thought was an emergency) so I didn't have to wait at Sherwood for two hours...Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (1)
re: Rouses to open on Burbank/Lee In 2018 (link added) - lapistola on 2/21/17 at 2:57 pm
I was over in that area yesterday and they are doing work to the bridge right before Burbank adjacent to the Winn Dixie parking lot. Looked like it could have been a road expansion but I don't know much about that sort of thing....Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (1)
re: Are Apple watches worth it? - lapistola on 2/15/17 at 4:58 pm
I like it a lot for many of the reasons already mentioned. I get a lot of calls/text/emails from work after working hours. So the biggest thing for me is being able to put my phone down in the kitchen when I get home and not have to check it every 5 minutes or whenever I hear the email notificatio...

re: Going to Paris and London-need help - lapistola on 2/10/17 at 9:16 am
I agree with everyone who has said to spend more time in Paris. I've probably spent about 12 days in Paris between two trips and still have things I want to see. London is great but Paris is just on another level. Also agree with whoever said to look into apartments in Paris. I used airbnb an...
How does one go about getting a FEMA trailer to live in when they are made available? Is it as simple as contacting FEMA and it being first come first served? FYI For this worried about U Club, I think we already dispelled the evacuation rumors but I just passed a St. George fire truck that was just checking out the south side of the neighborhood (bordering Bayou Manchac). They said we were good to go, no evacuation. ...Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (0)
supernovasky

Something I now notice - the swamp is not as high capacity as we thought before. Manchac Road acts as a levee, meaning that really only 1/3 of it is filling up. In this map that they drew up, a 100 year flood is supposed to fill it to capacity and continue on b...Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (3)
re: New Tailgate Question - lapistola on 7/28/16 at 12:12 pm
Pony up the money for the Dish Tailgater. Its makes setting up so easy and well worth the money as long as you or someone you know has a DISH account. You will not be able to get a good enough signal for the watch ESPN app, so this option allows you to watch any game you want during the day. [i...

I second Campbell Apartment. I always stop there when I'm in town. Really cool, quiet bar on the side of the craziness of Grand Central. Really sad to hear that its closing down. If you're into that, NY has a lot of other speakeasies that are pretty cool to visit. PDT, Back Room, and Angel's ...
