Talk about your highs and lows. A few months earlier, LSU football upset an unbeaten Bama squad in T-Town wile being about a 30 point underdog. LSU football had one of the biggest upsets of the year, if not more. LSU basketball leads by 30 with 15 minutes to go and end up losing the game. Da...
It was cool seeing a young Johnny Jones on the bench and a young Billy Donovan as Pitino's assistant during a time out. There was a Joe Dean Sr. and a Randy Livingston sighting too. Sad statement made in one of the interviews during the game was that the '94 LSU team snapped their 10 year ...

Give JJ a chance. Very few coaches have instant success. Even good players sometimes take a while to gel. The Brooklyn Nets were supposed to be really good, but the first half of the year was horrible for them, and those are professionals and multiple players there have won championships. ...
Wasn't Jeremy Hill a red shirt soph? The last 2 Heisman Trophy winners were redshirted FWIW. ...
when faulk came out of the tunnel pumped up...the stadium went nuts
Yea, the whole team came out of the tunnel looking like no one could beat them that night! ...
With all of the early departures into the NFL Draft, it seems to me that LSU football is turning into Kentucky basketball in that players come and enter the draft early. Coach Calipari has always said that it is an advantage in recruiting for his program when players get picked up in the draft....

"The only time I have ever rooted for the Crimson Tide was when I was in high school and my girlfriend's period was late." That saying cracks me up every time I hear it...
If LSU was smart, they would take the UT and Bama approach to scheduling.
I think you are on to something here. Look at Ohio State and Florida State this year. FSU played Clemson, but that's it. The first team that OSU played in the top ten was #10 Michigan State in the Big1...
No matter who is the coach at Texas, the Horns would never play LSU. They have traditionally had very weak non-conference schedules to boost their records. The only time UT will ever play LSU is in a Cotton Bowl, Champions Bowl or a National Championship or playoff game. Texas had a home and h...

1998 for sure the biggest shock to me. 2012 - up 1 game to none over Stony Brook in the Supers. 1995 - Tigers were loaded with talent, but ran into a Rice team in the Regional with Lance Berkman, Jose Cruz Jr. and one really good pitcher. ...
Does this feel like watching a high school game? That crowd sucks. This is for a Super Regional bid and the home team has bases loaded after being down 3 in extra innings and this is the best that crowd could do for their Tar Heels? ...
Not trying to be a homer, but how could LSU end up as a 4 seed when the Tigers were #2 in almost every poll for the greater part of May and winning the SEC Tournament over the #1 team for most of May? It seems that every other year or so the NCAA selection committee underrates LSU. ...
What about Oregon in 2011 and wasn't A&M ranked in the top 10 in 2012? Don't those count? ...
It happened in 1997 I think with LSU - Bama. They played 3 regular season games, 1 SEC Championship Game and in the National Championship Game. If it ends up LSU-Vandy in the National Championship game, even though they are both in the SEC, it is possible that it would be the first time they h...
Now that LSU took 2 of 3 from aTm, what is LSU's magic number to win the SEC West (before the Arky-Vols game tonight)? ...
And a poor reflection on Lester Fudd Miles. If we were properly chastened, and had a sense of shame, we'd all set our hair on fire in unison at halftime of the first home game, in righteous protest.
I thought suspending Hill indefinitely was a pretty good chastening. Les Miles ki...
