More offense = longer games but I think most people would rather sit for 3 hours and 20 minutes to watch a 7-6 game than 3 hours for a 2-1 game. ...

Me too. As entertaining as watching Bartolo Colon hit is, I would rather see another powerful bat in the lineup and a chance at more offense...

What a joke. He wasn't even drafted out of high school and hasn't played in 12 years and still thinks he can make it to the major leagues. His only shot at pro baseball is a minor league team trying to sell tickets and merchandise...

lot of big talk coming from the players, I doubt they will be able to miss any games but I hope they do cause that is only way to improve their situation...

The CBA expires after this season and was thinking about what changes could be on the horizon. I imagine that 4 main issues will be looked at which are the following :
Revise Qualifying offer or remove it
Higher minimum salary
raise the luxury tax line
Put in measures to prevent service...

I can't seem to find one clear cut answer. I've read $5 million, $6 million, $6.5 m, $7m, hell even $8m per WAR. Is there one number that the general consensus agrees upon. I want to know because I want to see how the top players compensation up until this point in their careers compares to their pr...

Cespedes,Desmond, maybe Encarnacion or Bautista short term. The offense needs sprucing up, they have been bad for quite a while and there are only 3 guys at max you can count on consistently in Correa,Altuve and Springer...

Since Jim Crane took over in 2012 and through this season the astros have spent $346,290,602 in total payroll over those 5 seasons which comes out to ~$69.2 million average payroll. According to Baseball Reference, the 2017 estimated payroll for the Astros(Guaranteed + Options + Arb) will be $72.1 m...

I worry Manfred is gonna tinker with the game too much. The pitch clock and batters box rule are fine but I don't want a 154 game season or a limit on bullpen, or for him to eliminate shifts....
