I will be at the game - home or away, so it’s not a matter of supporting the team. I think the disappointment (from my perspective) is that this is a team we have already played. I think some of the excitement of postseason play is the chance to play teams from other conferences after a long confer...

I travel a ton to Detroit for work projects in the area. The family (wife, 2 boys 10, 8) joined me this past summer and had a blast.
Hotels -- Marriot Renaissance Center and Pontchartrain are my two favorites downtown. I think the MRC best because of the views and restaurants.

Salvos for their all your can eat boiled seafood specials. They get very busy during Lent on Fridays so plan accordingly.
The Dairy Dip for ice cream, shakes, and burgers. They have a pretty good menu. No indoor seating so best to take to go or eat outside on their covered tables....

I don’t disagree with that part. It was a bad loss in that respect as LSU had a double digit lead and couldn’t close out, which has been a common theme in the past. Dayton made adjustments and we didn’t, and we got into a turnover spree that kills leads with the quickness.

The Dayton loss was not a “bad” loss. They were pre-season favorites to win the A-10 and look the part so far.

We've been to Broken Bow for a handful of times with family. The area is relatively small and not fully developed yet so options compared to the bigger tourist places are somewhat limited.
Beavers Bend State Park provides some hiking trails and fishing opportunities.

Agreed on all accounts here, especially Lugers. Their burger is top notch and I would only consider this for dinner if you absolutely want to cross off a bucket list or say you have eaten here. Way too many better options for steak if your criteria is based on food quality.

The Gaslamp district would be an excellent place the watch the game. We were in San Diego last year for the LSU/Alabama game and had not problems finding a place to watch the game. Lots of places to choose from in this are...
