Yeah probably about right. I had about 100' of 5' black chain link at same time and all together it was like $5500...
I had about 150' installed in March. Posts spaced at 6'. Used 5/4 pressure treated pine deck boards for a total height of 5'. Looks good and have gotten a lot of compliments. Fairly expensive though......

Yes, thanks for allowing me to clarify. I shouldn't have said veneer. I was using that to specify this isn't some decorative thin faced brick slapped directly on a wall. There is a void between the house framing and the brick wall. The bricks are attached to house sheathing with brick wall ties. ...

I am building a wood awning to go over a rear door on my house. The awning will be mounted to a solid brick wall (not veneer) at the top with a ledger board and below with braces/brackets. Yes, he did build his personal house as energy efficient as possible. I was only using that example to say I don't think the house needs 7 tons....

Total Comfort & Heating and Bell Mechanical (both builder's preferred contractors) both came up with a 5 ton system, not counting the mini-split for the bonus room later on. That's not bad at all. I think mind is made up to do 2 separate initially. One master and kids rooms and the other for main areas and guest room. Install program thermostat to adjust setting in main areas at night to reduce energy draw and vice versa in bedrooms during day. Then will add on a mini s...

So if he told me he's confident a single stage 3 zoned 5 ton unit is efficient and he knows how to zone it right, you would go with it? Or lean towards 2 separate smaller units?...

Thanks. Good feedback. No foam here. R30 blown in attic and r13 batted in walls. Radiant barrier plywood sheathing for roof. Low-e windows. Primarily brick exterior with some hardi around rear patio....
