NFL National Lead Writer Mike Freeman of Bleacher Report has suggested that Peyton Manning may have some interest in coaching at his alma mater – Tennessee.
quote:

I keep hearing that Peyton Manning wants to coach his alma mater. Over and over, I hear it from NFL people I trust. I don't know if it's accurate. It seems too neat and tidy to be true.
Tennessee head coach Butch Jones recently spoke about the idea of Manning returning to Knoxville to join the staff. Per 247Sports:
quote:

“We talk all the time,” Jones said of Manning, “and I think anything Peyton Manning does, he’ll be successful. But coaching is a completely different animal than playing, as any great player would tell you.

“But, again, I welcome him any time he wants to come in to Tennessee and spend time with our players. He’s been great that way. He’s been very willing to do that. We’ve been very fortunate and blessed to have him be a part of our teams, coming in and speaking to (them), and this year will be the same.”
Could the Sheriff be headed back to Knoxville?

Why would he go back to college ball? Did he forget to sexually assault someone?

Would be interesting to see if he would be willing to do the 7 day a week work it takes to be a coach. The grind it out bullshite. The days of recruiting. Im sure the recruiting stuff is fun for a few weeks then it becomes constant work that you have to balance with all the other work. Peytons was a hard working QB in the NFL, he could be a hard working coach. I just doubt it.

If anybody would just own it and get into it I suspect it would be Peyton. Dude is an amazing workaholic. Reminds me of a nicer Harbaugh.
