Peyton Manning Just Gave Tennessee This $3 Million Gift
by Larry Leo
April 25, 20152 Comments
On Friday Denver Broncos QB and former Tennessee alum Peyton Manning, and his wife, made a $3 million financial commitment to his alma mater. The money will go towards the Vols football program and the Peyton Manning Scholarship Endowment, which is a four-year scholarship presented to first-year students participating in the University of Tennessee Honors Program. The donation will also honor two athletic department employees, Gus Manning and Carmen Tegano. Gate 16 at Neyland Stadium will be re-named Gus Manning gate, while Tegano will have a student-athlete dining hall named after him and his wife.
