The Tennessee Volunteers will head to Norman, Oklahoma this weekend and will try to knock off the 4th ranked Sooners.

Oklahoma head coach Bob Stoop, who has been very vocal in the past about the SEC's perceived superiority knew he would face many questions about the talent level between the Big 12 and the SEC with the Volunteers coming to town. Per ESPN:

He shook most of them off, but when asked about the SEC's supposed belief that its athletes are a cut above, Stoops delivered the closest thing to a quip he would offer.

"I don't know," he said. "That hasn't been the case in our experience. Whoever we've played, that hasn't been much of a difference."
Stoops had this to say about Tennessee:
quote:

"We've got respect for the program," Stoops said. "The coach is getting in their second season now. They're a better football team than they were a year ago. They've recruited really well in the last couple of years. They're 2-0, and they've looked really good to this point."

OU not exactly matching up with the top tier of the SEC. Tennessee is still garbage.

Bob Stops his derogatory sec comments right before tennessee is heading his way.....hmmm. He knows if you throw any fuel to a team that has 4 and 5 star recruits, although young, can be a recipe for disaster. Tennessee is not afraid of Oklahoma. There used to playing plenty of big boys.

Somebody baited him, and he took the bait. He has lost two national championships to SEC teams and lost to TAMU.
