Alabama fans were bound to turn fast on their Crimson Tide after losing one game and falling out of National Championship contention. So after kicker Cade Foster missed all three of his field goal attempts Saturday night against Auburn, he was benched. But that didn't stop Bama fans from sending him death threats on Twitter after the loss. Teammates CJ Mosley and Reggie Ragland, immediately came to Foster's side, defending him...

CJ Mosley @TreyDeuce32RTR
You fake arse bama fans stop sending threats to my teammate, you spoiled ******, respect what we do and know we all human! And that's REAL!

ReggieRagland(bama) @reggieragland
You put your hands on my dog Cade foster you got a bunch of goons coming at yo neck and that's for real one team one heart beat
Foster changed his account after the game

Can I send this headline to Jay Leno?

Um, blame Saban for going for it on 4th and 1 from the Auburn 12 in the fourht quarter instead of kicking the field goal. As bad as he had kicked, he wasn't gonna hook it that much.

Death Threats? You Gumps need to get a life!

Wouldn't be surprised to find that when these people are found and prosecuted they aren't all real bama fans. Hope there is a follow up story on that if it is indeed the case.

I blame the idiots on twitter who act like P****** and want to make threats and say nasty things to a Young man who had a bad day. 57 yards is no joke. hell 37 yards is no joke

Sabans fault for going for it rather than sending into overtime.

Why was this phrased so poorly? It makes it sound like the players are defending the people threatening the kicker.
Reply46 months
Did everyone forget the one he made that would have won the game had the right guard not moved?

I blame Saban. However, he's still the best in the business. Saban will learn from this, and there are championships to be had for Bama in the future. Foster did have a fluctuating sphincter all day, so he might not have made the 25 yarder. The call should have been to go with Griffith on the 25 yarder. However, at the time I supported going for it on 4th down.

Maybe those gumps should send the threats to Saban for trying to kick a 57 yard field goal at the end. Those earlier FGs don't matter if he tries for a TD, and they might not matter if he plays for overtime.
