New Alabama offensive coordinator Lane Kiffin is receiving a positive review from Alabama's top wide receiver Amari Cooper saying the he is "player friendly" while simplifying the playbook terminology.

"The way plays are called," Cooper said, "it's easy to recognize what you have to do as a player."
Cooper also talked about how Kiffin has a young feel and can relate with the players.

"Pretty cool guy. Pretty laid back guy," Cooper said. "He pays attention to everything, every little thing. I noticed that about him when we were practicing for the bowl game."
Kiffin will replace Doug Nussmeier who left Alabama to take over the OC position at Michigan. Alabama's annual spring game with be Saturday, April 19th and the Tide will open the 2014 season against West Virginia in Atlanta, GA.

Strange. Cooper admires Kiffin's attention to detail during their bowl practice. Their bowl game was on the 2nd of Jan. Nussmeier didn't leave until the 9th. Kiffin wasn't hired until the 11th. Does that mean Alabama had more than the 9 NCAA mandated coaches on the field for the practices?

"Player friendly" just means the players do as they please
