AL.com is reporting that former Auburn Coach Tony Barbee will join the Kentucky mens basketball coaching staff.

Barbee has joined Kentucky coach John Calipari's staff in an administrative role. He will serve as a special assistant to Calipari. The news was first reported by CatsIllustrated.com.


Barbee played for Calipari at Massachusetts, where he entered the school's hall of fame earlier this season. Barbee served as a grad assistant and assistant coach under Calipari at UMass before working for him at Memphis from 2000 to 2006.
