We need to look at the estimated winds in nola for tomorrow. If theyre above 45mph then BA may cancel. My guess is they'll try and operate the flight since it comes in then leaves an hr later. To the OT thread for wind maps!

Eta: okay so after looking at the estimated wind speed maps here, it's not looking good for tomorrow. Winds should be hitting nola by mid morning. Now the question becomes do you want to spend an extra few days in the UK or would you rather chance it and try getting back to the US. One option that might work is getting back to dallas or miami then using the codeshare flight # on American to get back to MSY. That way, you're at least back in the US if flights do get cancelled?

Thoughts on if and when Delta will add BHM or ATL?

Didn't pull the trigger on the Monday flight and ended up getting cancelled for tomorrow. Next availability they had on the LHR-MSY route was next Friday and that wasn't happening.

Heading back to DFW tomorrow and hoping Nate slows up enough for me to make it in for my scheduled 4:30p landing. How early do they close the airport before landfall?

Whenever the winds get bad enough they'll shut it down. Luckily msy has n/s and e/w runways so if the winds shift they can usually alter the takeoff/landing patterns

Agreed. Particularly with the recent eastern tack.

Guess I will be up all night checking to see if my 6:20 flight in the morning will be cancelled.

I'm suppose to land in MSY tomorrow (Sunday) around 4:00. I know ithe storm will be well gone but any chance flights are allowed inbound? Any info or a point in the right direction would be appreciated.
