I've googled. The top hit is an article from May that only has one real-sounding alternative: GetMe. LINK

Anyone been recently and have suggestions?

Fasten, but you will want to book rides way in advance.

Thanks. I'm going for the Texas/Notre Dame game this Sunday so it should be a real shite-show to begin with. I'll plan to be patient and always keep a full beer for the wait.

Good chance I'll be there tailgating. Wearing purple of course. My first time, I'm curious.

Fasten and Fare are the right answer

It's a fun atmosphere. We usually go to Sholtz' beer garden before then Texas Chili Parlor after. My first time going to a game with beer sales I was like a drunk kid in a candy store. I must've bought 15 Miller Lites before discovering the craft beer concession stand, which would've slowed me down considerably.

Guest of Longhorns so outwardly I will be pulling for the Horns. but I am Irish Catholic and will be secretly pulling for Notre Dame.

I went one of the first weekends after the ban started. My friends suggested Getme. It worked but is no where near Uber/Lyft. Again, this was in the very beginning so the app surely has gotten better

You have a ticket? I'm just going for the pregame festivities. Have family in town visiting for the first time. Already pretty loaded up on football with LSU and Bama (Bro in Law) on Saturday.

I started betting him on that game every year starting with the NC in 2011/12....

No I'm just tailgating at this point but wouldn't pass up a ticket that came my way.

If you're single, I hope you're ready to mingle. From observations in my time here, the attractiveness level of Austinites is kind of absurd.

I really like ride austin. Its user interface is almost identical to uber's and they have been the quickest with a car. Plus ride austin always has discount codes.

Get me and fasten haven't been as reliable in my experience.

Ride Austin worked well during the day time. I was staying about 3 miles from campus and could only get a "regular" car 6 hours before kickoff (I wanted the SUV). After the game was a different story; we went to Texas Chili Parlor to let things settle down for an hour. Ride Austin had no drivers, Fare wouldn't load, Fasten - with a 4x surcharge - was the only one to find a driver. Interestingly, it was only twice as expensive as our initial ride to campus with Ride Austin.

It was nuts downtown Sunday night. You couldn't get a cab or any ride share.

You're right Ride Austin has the best prices even before you add on one of their promo codes. Plus they seem to have the best availability.

There is a Facebook group called Arcade Fire where they work for donations so you can avoid surge pricing. Be aware that Fasten and Fare are not as nice and clean in my experience. I never had a problem with Uber or Lyft, but seems like when I use Fare or Fasten some of the cars are dirty and drivers aren't as friendly. I've never had a terrible experience, but just know those companies are not up to the same standards.

Ya, Sunday really pushed the issue that the other companies can't handle that sort of volume like Uber/Lyft could.

Yea there's a big gap between the uber/lyft and the offshoots. Fortunately I had access to a parking garage last weekend.

I ended up watching LSU at Lavaca. FYI it's a Wisconsin bar. Whoops

Guess I'll have to check Shoal Creek next. See if the fandom has died or not.

I paid fifteen bucks to park near lavaca only to see a long line of red and white. I wasn't pleased. Shoal creek was a good place to go, the game notwithstanding. Check it out next time.
