Going visit in a month or so. I know about the land slide and what not. Looking for must do outdoor adventures and places to grub. Seafood preferably.

Recommendations appreciated

It's tough to get there now. HWy 1 is closed in several places and a lot of the hiking trails have been washed out. My wife just had to cancel her trip with some friends to Big Sur. Hotel refunded their money because of the conditions.

That sucks. Drove through the area once from Santa Barbara to Monterey. Always wanted to go back & explore the area. The drive through Big Sur is incredible.

Big Sur the village is cut in two.....Hwy 1 is cut in half. The Pfeffer bridge is impassable, condemned, and to be torn down shortly. Read all about it here: LINK

I read that access opened up and businesses are open. I'll see how it plays out I suppose

Spent a few days camping there a couple years ago and loved it. Tried to go back in January when the current conditions were ramping up, ended up in Santa Barbara instead.

If you do get to go there are lots of good hikes. Check out hikingbigsur.com and find what looks good to you. Probably also want to check the pages for individual parks to see what is closed.
