Happy monday everyone. It's been a long time since I've done one of these so figure it's about time. There's some great prices for winter travel if you're flexible with dates or just want to get away. All prices are for roundtrip tickets, sometimes it may be cheaper to book two one-ways. As always if you have any questions let me know
New Orleans to:
Ft. Lauderdale: $78 on Southwest, Spirit or Jetblue. First two weeks of November, first three weeks of December, all of January, then first two weeks of February. This will be by far the best time to visit south florida, there are currently 3 airline carriers on the route. Jetblue is a great airline if you've never given them a try before.
Miami: $87 on American, $95 on United. First three weeks of November on Tuesdays,Wednesdays then mostly Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Saturdays in December, January and February.
Chicago: $88 on United or Southwest. The dates are pretty scattered but it's mostly for Tuesdays/Wednesdays/Saturdays in November and December.
Boston: $141 on American or United, $168 on Southwest. Mid November, first week weeks of December, then all of january up through the second week of february.
Denver: $97 on Frontier, $188 on Southwest or United. For the frontier fare, even if you add on a bag each way at $25 thats still only $147, great deal for a nonstop to denver
Orlando: $39 on Frontier, $171 on Delta and $174 on Southwest. Super cheap dates on Frontier are for early November, the price goes up to about $100 once you hit early December and January. Still a great deal
Los Angeles: $128 on Southwest, $139 on United, $207 on Delta or American. The dates are very sporadic in November and early December, but they're available. Southwest has Tuesday, Wednesday Saturday availability in January and February
Dallas: $72 on Southwest, $117 on American. Always pretty good cheap flights to Dallas, mostly early November and first two weeks of December
Atlanta: $108 on Southwest, $141 on American, $157 on Delta. Tues-Saturdays on Southwest in November, December or January
Philly: $124 on United. Only a few dates at the end of November into early December but figure someone here may be able to snag the deal
San Juan, Puerto Rico: $216 on American. Not sure why this is so cheap but it's for the first three weeks of December then the middle three weeks of January
Vail, Colorado: $326 on United, Delta or American. Tues/Wed/Sat in January and February. A great price in my view, can fly through Atlanta, Houston, Dallas, Denver, etc. Saves yourself several hours of driving back and forth to DIA
Salt Lake City: $290 on American, $323 on Delta for the nonstop. Tues, Wed, Sat in January through early February.
Colorado Springs: $194 on American. Tues, Wed, Sat in early December and January
Vancouver: $292 on American, Delta or United. Most of November through the second week of December.

Wife got a roundtrip to Atlanta, in March, for $117 the other day. On Southwest I believe. They have a good sale going on right now.

Yeah southwest is having a decent sale, it's mostly for routes that have competition like Atlanta, Ft. Lauderdale, Chicago and Los Angeles. The rest of their nonstops out of Nola are about average pricing

Thanks for the info! Planning a trip to Key West in February. Probably flying Southwest to Ft. Lauderdale.

Consider flying directly to Key West. FLL is a 3.5 hour drive to Key West.

I'm looking for flights to Cancun for the weekend of March 11 for a friend's wedding. Arrival and departure dates are flexible as long as I am there all day Saturday. I'm seeing about $350 round trip. Is this a good price or should I wait for it to go lower?
Thanks
Thanks

Want to say the average is around $300, may want to wait a little longer. I'll keep an eye out for you
