An hour is pretty short-in-time. Go nurse a drink.

An hour? Find the nearest bar and have a drink or two.

As others have said, nurse a drink while listening to Phil Collins.

And don't worry, you WILL hear Phil Collins somewhere, no matter where you go.

The 1st thing I think about doing in Miami is go to South Beach but by the time you get there it will be time to leave.

Best thing you could do is just take a ride through the city and see the many things it has to offer

Personally, I would kill the hour at the Rusty Pelican on Virginia Key on the way out to Key Biscayne. Amazing views and great drinks.

in Key Biscayne you could also kill an hour at Bill Baggs Cape Florida State Park. It's a nice little place, but I think there's a $5 or $10 charge to get in by car.

Or you could park on the side of the Rickenbacker causeway and check out the scenery.

hour not much time
if you had half a day they do have some Biscayne Boat tours that take you around and show you all the famous houses and the people that own them

If you have a lunch, you may not want to be drunk, or starting to drink. With the reputation Miami traffic has, I'd get close to the destination, then find a nice little place to knock-back a couple Café Cubanos and you'll be certain to stay awake through your lunch.

My thoughts exactly: go down to Calle Ocho and check out the streetscape/people watch and drink a Cuban coffee.

If ever hookers and blow was the correct answer Miami could be the place.

Seriously. If you want a meal I'd Uber over to Sazon. Great Cuban food in an authentic Cuban diner with fantastic mojitos.
